Mother's Day Celebration (May 16, 2021)

Bharatiya Kala Evam Sahitya Parishad in partnership with Consulate General of India, Vancouver celebrated Mother's Day on May 16, 2021. Consul Mr. Manjish Grover attended the event. 

Virtual Meeting with V4U Entertainment (May 19, 2021)

Consul General Mr. Manish held a virtual meeting with Mr. Vikas Gautam and members of V4U entertainment association on May 19, 2021. After brief introduction of Team V4U, Mr. Gautam gave an overview of their cultural and other activities being organised by V4U entertainment across the world. He proposed to host a series of cultural events as part of India @ 75 celebration - Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav in partnership with the Consulate. Consul General, while welcoming his proposal, briefed the consular services rendered to the Indian Diaspora, Indo-Canadians and Foreign Nationals, cultural and commercial activities being organised by the Consulate.

IDY - 2021 Curtain Raiser programme (May 20, 2021)

Consulate General of India, Vancouver organized the first of 9 online Yoga series, which was presented by Dr. Aravindhan Ravindran MD, FRCR. on May 20, 2021 as part of Curtain Raiser programme of International Day of Yoga - 2021 celebrations.

Adventure On Land

Mountaineering is one of the major land-based activities in India that can be explored in several destinations in the country. There’s the Beas Kund trail near Manali which begins at Solang Nallah and moves on to a pristine alpine lake, passing through meadows of Dhundi and Bakarthach. The Beas Kund lake is said to be where sage Vyas bathed during prayers and this journey is so celestial that locals say that even the trek is like a form of meditation!

216 crore vaccine doses to be available in 5 months between Aug-Dec, enough to cover all: Govt

As states grapple with a shortage of coronavirus vaccines, the Centre on Thursday said that over two billion doses will be made available in the country in five months between August and December, enough to vaccinate the entire population. It also said Russian anti-Covid vaccine Sputnik V is likely to be available by next week.
