The Consulate General of India, Vancouver is organizing "Puducherry Blue" - An Exhibition of Paintings by South Asian Artists, from 18-21 October 2022 at Simon Fraser University Campus. The exhibition “Puducherry Blue” was the outcome of the artists’ camp held at Puducherry under the auspices of ICCR to bring together artists from the South Asian region. This camp gave upcoming and creative artists from South Asian nations a platform to interact and mingle with each other socially and through the medium of art. This was one of the several initiatives of ICCR for promoting cultural connectivity within South Asian countries.

 

 

Mr. Manjish Grover, Consul (Commerce) attended the wrap-up session on October 7th at the Vancouver office of the Canadian Grain Commission along with a delegation from India led by Dr. Ranjit Singh, Director (PP&IC), Ministry of Agriculture to attend the pilot program for export of Canadian pulses to India under Canada’s system approach for pest management.

 

 


Consul Manjish Grover attended a ceremony at the Surrey Central Library to renew the naming of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar hall at the library for a further period of 10 years. The naming of the hall was first proposed by the Chetna Association of Canada in 2012 and renewed now on 14th October 2022. BC Minister of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation Hon. Bruce Ralston also graced the occasion and joined in the unveiling of the name of the hall after Dr B R Ambedkar popularly known as the architect of India’s Constitution.

17th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2022

The 17th edition of the FICCI Higher Education Summit and Exhibition 2022 is being organized on November 17-19, 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex (IG Stadium), New Delhi. The theme for this year's Summit is “Global Destination for Higher Education: Advantage India”.

As the concept and framework of education transitions from university degrees to life-long learning, the existing and new workforce would have to be more agile, and adaptable and need to constantly upskill their knowledge and skills in line with 21st-century requirements. With the transformative changes brought about by the pandemic and the implementation of the  National Education Policy 2020, India is paving the way toward becoming a global destination for Higher Education.

GROUP OF MONUMENTS AT MAHABALIPURAM

The UNESCO World Heritage Site consists of group of sanctuaries, founded by the Pallava kings, was carved out of rock along the Coromandel coast in the 7th and 8th centuries.
